The problem with doing strips involving kids is that it tends to dredge up old issues that are the roots of the psychological baggage of adulthood. Sometimes I can mine this stuff for humor, but other times, I end up with stuff like this.

It still is really a shame that as long ago as I heard stuff like this in school (I’m not going to say how many, many, many years ago it was), I still hear the same things when I drop by a school today. You’d think that as long as Filipinos have been living in the United States — and on Guam in particular — that this would have stopped by now. But no, it’s still the easy go-to joke for lazy ethnic comics. Like the girl said, it’s hurtful, it needs to stop, and it stopped being funny 30 years ago.
